1. One of my friends asked me to do a favor for her grandma. She was hosting a ladies fundraiser called "Brides through the ages" or something like that. They needed "models" to wear wedding gowns for a small fashion show. Women from around Tauranga donated their gowns for the parade. I naively agreed to participate (who turns down a sweet grandma?)- not realizing I would be parading an 80's number. It was quite a spectacle and we had a really good laugh about it.
2. Pick celebrated the CARDINALS winning the WORLD SERIES! We have been anticipating their championship for the last 3 years. It was a gratifying victory. (Pick kept up with most of the games via ESPN.com watching dots on a screen- that's dedication! Fortunately we were able to watch the last few games.)3. We went on a day trip along the Coromandel coast with a small group from church. The scenery was incredible and we are looking forward to going camping in this area after Christmas- it will be our summer holiday!
