Fathers Day Thoughts

Happy Fathers Day Dad. Recently I have spent a lot of time with my dad and his parents. They are living in a retirement village here in the city. Chelsea and I visit them about twice a week, usually for lunch, and my dad is often there. My grandad is very frail now and requires constant care. My father has been with him day and night consistently for the last month (trading times with his siblings). It has been humbling to watch my father in this role and very endearing. Good job dad! I promise to show you the same around-the-clock consideraion, kindness and devotion in your elderly years if you need it.
Side note- my grandad was a jockey in his youth. The picture in the background is my grandad riding a winning horse! Recently my grandad has been recalling many of his farm days rounding up cattle, ploughing feilds and going fishing. He has lived a full, hard working, and successful life. I am very proud to be his grandaughter.

My sweet husband and his mini-me. Happy Father's Day honey. Recently, at Chelsea's hair cut we discovered that Chelsea has the same cowlick as Pick in the front and back of her hair! Just another uncanny resemblance between the two.
Chelsea loves to run beside and away from her dad, read stories with him, wear his shoes, and watch him flip pancakes. A sure fire way to get her laughing hysterically is if her dada will juggle grapes and catch them in his mouth (or miss, doesn't really matter) or bounce on the bed and then fake fall into the pillows. Good times, good times.
